Jennifer Musick Wright, founder of HEAL Raising Our World Foundation, will lead a group of volunteers to Kenya this summer. The team will work at Rapha Community Center, a children’s home and secondary school that provides care and quality education to 45 orphans and 80 students from the local community.

The children at Rapha are orphans. They’ve been abandoned, neglected and in some cases abused. Without our support, they would be living in destitute situations, unable to break through the cycle of poverty into which they were born. By being part of the community at Rapha, they are given the opportunity to thrive, to continue their education and to work towards a future that is much brighter.

This summer the volunteers will tutor students, work in the greenhouse and farm, help to develop our new cow project and organize games and activities with the children. In addition, the volunteers would like to raise funds to complete projects and purchase other basic needs like food and school supplies. A little goes a long way, and we ask you to please give as generously as you are able so we can positively impact the lives of the children at Rapha Community Center.

Here are some examples of what your money could accomplish:

$10 will buy 1 chicken for our poultry project.
$15 will buy 1 mattress.
$20 will pay the electricity bill for 1 month.
$30 will buy a 1 month supply of vaseline and laundry soap for all the children at the Center.
$50 will buy 1 large bag of beans that will last for 1 month.
$100 will buy 1 microscope for the school.
$750 will buy a cow for our income project.

Every little bit will make a difference.
