We are thrilled to announce that Tammy Burden has joined the HEAL team as Board President. Tammy volunteered at Rapha Community Center in 2011, and since then has continued to support the work of HEAL. In preparation for her new role, Tammy joined our Executive Director, Jennifer Wright, in Kenya this summer to see our operations at Rapha Community Center in person. She was astounded by the progress that has been made since her last visit.

In addition to her background in hotel and restaurant management, Tammy was the Executive Director of the Center for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence in Columbus, NE. She has extensive experience in grant writing and fundraising, and we are excited for her to share her knowledge with us as we continue to further the mission of HEAL. Welcome to the team Tammy!
